Sentencing next month for St Elizabeth man on scamming related charges
A St Elizabeth man who pleaded guilty on lottery-scam related charges is to be sentenced next month.
Howard Williams pleaded guilty yesterday to breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act when he appeared in the St Elizabeth Circuit Court.
A social enquiry report is expected to be presented to the court when he returns for sentencing on March 13.
Williams was charged for the possession of identity information and for obtaining money by false pretence.
Its alleged that he received $25,000 from two citizens residing overseas as part of lottery scamming activities.
