Relief has been reaching sections of Portland affected by two days of heavy rains which resulted in landslides and severe flooding of some communities across the parish.

West Portland Member of Parliament Daryl Vaz has been coordinating relief efforts.

He says the Ministry of Labour and Social Security has been conducting assessments of the affected communities, which includes Mill Bank and other communities in the Rio Grande Valley, where three houses were destroyed by landslides.
