The police have charged 45-year-old security guard Urcel Bundy in connection with the seizure of a large quantity of cocaine valued at $127.2 million in Portmore, St Catherine.

Bundy is charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine and conveyance of cocaine.

He's scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, September 19.

The police seized cocaine weighing approximately 222 pounds during an operation in the community last Thursday.

They also seized a motor vehicle and an illegal gun along with ammunition.

It was reported that a team attempted to intercept motor car that was travelling along the Southborough main road.

The driver was ordered to stop but he allegedly refused and sped off.

The car was chased and the driver crashed into a section of the round-a-bout along the road.

The driver reportedly exited the vehicle and fled.
