The highly acclaimed Liguanea Lodge annual Art Auction & Wine and Cheese Party celebrates 23 years of enduring refined tradition and sophistication this year, when the event takes place on Thursday, May 14. The event will again be staged in its usually elegant setting at its home for the past 21 years, the leisurely Talk of the Town at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel, commencing at 7 p.m.

The event dubbed 'Art Auction with a Difference and Distinction' should again prove to be a top-class affair, featuring the auction of original fine art pieces, in a variety of media, by a select number of Jamaican artists, including some of the island's most sought-after masters and promising young artists.

The Liguanea Lodge Art Auction has, over the past years, provided serious art collectors and connoisseurs as well as new buyers with an exquisite collection of distinguished works by prominent and promising artists. It will be no different this year. Discerning patrons will be presented with approximately 75 signature pieces on which they can make their bids after enjoying complimentary fine wines, cheeses, and relaxing music during the cocktail hour preceding the auction. It promises to be a most rewarding evening for all participants.

An entry fee of only $1,500, the same as last year, will ensure your participation.

The pieces to be auctioned will be catalogued in an elegantly designed Coffee Table keepsake which can be made available before the auction if interested persons send a request by email to

Proceeds from the Liguanea Lodge Art Auction will, as in the past, go towards supporting the Lodge's Outreach programmes, which includes scholarships and other support to high school and tertiary-level students and other charitable ventures.
