Campion College schoolboy Thomas Issa, who has been having a successful 2014, and young businessman, Kyle Gregg are in line for special recognition by the Federation of International Automobile (FIA) Americas, at an awards ceremony scheduled to take place early next year in Panama.

Go-karter Issa, based on the points standing, just needs a podium finish in the events to be contested at the November 30 race meet which will conclude the 2014 Jamaica Karting Association (JKA) season to receive the Abe Ziadie Trophy, which goes to the champion driver of the year. Gregg has been confirmed as the Jamaica Race Drivers’ Club (JRDC) 2014 champion, the title which goes to the top circuit racing driver at the Dover Raceway,

St Ann, annually.

“Last month’s JKA race meet was the most exciting and gratifying event for us locally this year. But Thomas has excelled on the international scene, competing in the United Kingdom where he represented Art Grand Prix in a series there as a factory driver over the summer,” his driving coach Peter Rae, told Automotives

Gregg and Issa have received FIA Americas Awards in the past, along with Doug Gore, David Summerbell, Sebastien Rae, Joshua Sirgany and Collin Daley.
