Winston Sill/Freelance Photographer Toyota Jamaica Limited will be investing $400 million to construct its third branch at Old Hope Road in Kingston, which will double as a sales and service centre. Ground was broken for construction on Wednesday, January 28, 2015. The project will last a year. Seen here participating in the official ground-breaking ceremony are, from left, Hiroshi Kitahara, General Manager of Toyota Tsusho America Inc; Yasuo Takase, Japanese Ambassador to Jamaica; Anthony Hylton, Minister of Industry Investment and Commerce; Tom Connor, Managing Director, Toyota Jamaica Limited; and Peter Matalon of Matalon Homes, which has been hired for the construction project. The construction project is expected to create 100 jobs, and 40 jobs at start of operation.
