Issa elected president

of Negril Chamber

Hotelier Lee Issa has been elected president of the Negril Chamber of Commerce.

Issa is chairman of Couples Resorts.

At a meeting of the chamber on March 10, Daniel Grizzle, Pansy Rayson and Carl Barnett were also elected as first, second and third vice-presidents, respectively.

The Negril Chamber has a total of 17 directors and several committees to oversee areas such as security, business development, the environment, marketing and public relations.

Issa has indicated that his administration will continue to lobby the State and other entities to "ensure that the physical and social environment of Negril remains healthy" for the benefit of all, whether small, mid-size or large players. The coastal community's economy is tourism-based.
