Mar 14: Jamaican stocks up 84 points
The Jamaica Stock Exchange Combined Index inched up by 84 points or 0.05 per cent on Monday, to close at 161,971.41 points.
Thirty-one stocks traded, with volumes rising above 3.8 million units. Eighteen stocks gained value, and 13 declined.
The three most active stocks were financial conglomerate JMMB Group, which slipped nine cents to $10.40; poultry producer Jamaica Broilers Group, down one cent to $14.50; and National Commercial Bank, which inched up by one cent at $41.
The combined index includes the main, junior and US dollar equities markets. The JSE Index fell 177 points to 153,435.78, the Junior Market Index advanced by 28 points to 1,914.73, and the JSE USD Equities Index also closed up 7.15 points at 151.99 points.
