Half Moon Resort ends five-year partnership with US-based RockResorts
Half Moon Resort in Montego Bay has ended its five-year partnership with the United States-based RockResorts, a subsidiary of Vail Resorts, Inc.
Half Moon was being operated under the management of RockResorts.
But in a statement released to the media Friday afternoon, Half Moon said there has been a change in management following a mutual decision between Half Moon Bay Ltd, the owners of Half Moon Resort, and RockResorts.
"Both parties agreed to terminate the contract following RockResorts’ decision to change strategy, shifting their primary focus to the company's mountain lodge properties," a spokesperson said in the statement.
Half Moon Resort will once again be independently be managed and operated.
"The owners have a dynamic vision for the future of the resort and those plans will be announced in the coming months," the Half Moon spokesperson said.
