Itelbpo Smart Solutions opens fourth call centre site
Itelbpo Smart Solutions, formerly Island Outsourcers, has officially opened its fourth site in Jamaica.
According to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Yoni Epstein, the move is in keeping with the company’s growth strategy to move from a medium-sized to a large business process outsourcing (BPO) provider by the end of 2017.
“We have grown the business pretty aggressively over the past four years having way above average growth year-over-year,” a release quoted his as saying.
“This expansion will secure a dynamic future for our employees seeking to advance their careers in our company, bolster the commitment of our company in delivering quality services, and provide a boost to the local economy by providing job opportunities for Jamaicans,” Epstein added.
The additional 10,000 square feet site, which was completed in November last year, currently houses its first client, a medical billing support services.
This is the company’s third client from the health industry, which attests to the wide range of industries serviced by the BPO sector, the release said.
“Jamaica has cemented itself as the English-speaking hub for outsourced services in the Caribbean and Latin American region and we hope to be a major catalyst for the expansion of the sector”, said Epstein.
Itelbpo Smart Solutions is the fastest growing local outsourcing firm in Jamaica with sites in Kingston and Montego Bay, and another in the Bahamas.
The firm currently employs 780 persons across all its locations, but would have increased its workforce to 900 by the end of February with the addition of the new client and facility.
Itelbpo intends to grow the existing compliment to 1,500 employees by the end of 2017.
The BPO industry is one of Jamaica’s key economic activities employing more than 22,000 individuals and generating revenues in excess of US$400 million, the release said.
It said Itelbpo Smart Solutions remains one of the leading local firms in the industry in terms of employment and offers an integrated suite of BPO operations, including inbound and outbound customer engagement, sales, online booking services and quality assurance services.
