The Caribbean Cement Company said it has commenced its plans to reconstruct the section of its administrative office area of its Rockford, east Kingston plant that was affected by a fire on Monday.

In a release, the company said investigations have started into the cause of the fire and that persons who normally operate in the affected area have been reassigned to others areas across the plant.

Carib Cement said the fire did not affect production and will not affect its ability to supply Cement to the trade and customers.

“Our customer’s trucks continue to be loaded and the incident has not disrupt supply,” it said.
