A new residential complex is under development at South Avenue in Kingston by a St Ann businessman.

Arthur Von Strolley, through his holding AVS Builders Limited, is undertaking construction of 81 apartments spanning nine storeys in the vicinity of the South Avenue Grill and Total Travel Services.

Construction is being handled by ZDA Construction Limited, a Chinese firm.

Approvals for the multifamily complex was granted by the Real Estate Board last November following approvals from the Kingston & St Andrew Corporation granted in June.

The ground floor of the building will consist of four studio units, the next five floors will have 10 units each, floors six to eight will have six units each, while the eighth and ninth levels will each have nine studios.

Attempts at a comment from Von Strolley about the development were unsuccessful.
