Revenue administration system enhancements completed

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) said it has upgraded its Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS) to enhance the user experience of taxpayers, with added security and ease of use.

The upgrade took effect on Tuesday, August 8. TAJ said in a release.

To facilitate a smooth transition, TAJ has developed a user guide with details of the changes, and which is available at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm under the “How To” tab.

Persons may also get additional support through the customer care centre at 1-888-829-4357, contacting their client relationship manager or visiting the taxpayer education unit located in the Kingston, Constant Spring, Mandeville and Montego Bay tax offices.

TAJ said taxpayers will notice a change in the appearance of the user interface, which is cleaner with reorganized information tiles.

Additionally, how the user interacts with several system options will also change. These include an updated account window and an updated payment window.

The following new features have also been added:  Account settings window, period window and manage payments and returns function.

Customers are encouraged to register and use the enhanced online tax services which offer greater convenience, security and ease of use while doing business with the tax authority, TAJ said.
