Caribbean Coffee Traders Limited will open its largest Starbucks cafe New Kingston, on a street corner in the business district that once house a Digicel store.

"This is the sixth store in the fourth location," said Stephen Hector, spokesman for the coffee joint venture.

This will be the second Starbucks store for Kingston, the first being opened earlier this year at Liguanea Plaza. The others operate from Gloucester Avenue in Montego Bay and at the Sangster International Airport.

The latest store is expected to open sometime in November or early December.

"It will in fact be the largest store thus far, positioned in the business hub of Kingston at 2,400 square feet," said Hector. The size of the investment was not disclosed.

The space that Starbucks will occupy on Knutsford Boulevard is on a building owned by Anbell Group.

"It is the perfect gift for the corporate financial and entertainment capital," said Anbell managing director and owner Andrew Pairman.

The Starbucks Jamaica franchise is expected to grow to 15 stores over time.
