Guyana’s President Donald Ramotar has challenged members of the police to implement a 15-point plan designed to restore confidence in the police force.

President Ramotar, who delivered an address at the opening of the annual Officer’s Conference of the Guyana Police Force yesterday, said the “15 for 2015” programme is designed to bring greater security, safety and stability to Guyana.

The programme includes the establishment of a neighbourhood watch programme; increased police presence; and the transformation of the 911 system.
