A 33-year-old flight attendant will re-appear in a Barbadian court on May 12 after she was denied bail when she appeared in court on drug-related charges.

Deann Pat Portia Plummer, who works with the Antigua-based regional airline LIAT, appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Christopher Birch on charges of charges of possession.

The St Lucian national was arrested on April 26, after arriving at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

The prosecution is alleging that five pounds of cocaine was found in her handbag after she had been searched by Customs officers and that a search warrant was subsequently executed at her apartment and police found 1.3 grams of cannabis.
