Babylon: The great has fallen

Published:Monday | November 30, 2015 | 11:00 AM

Revelation 18:2-5, "And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird ... . And I heard another voice from heaven saying, "Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues. For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities."

Babylon symbolises a system without God, thus today, the world is now reaping from the Babylonian system (Galatians 6: 7)

There are many who have sold their souls to the system and there is about to be weeping, as lifestyles and desires are changing. There are many who get filthy rich on the backs of the poor, the drug trade, human trafficking, the Hollywood system, gambling and all the other vices. The music industry has become engulfed in perversion and is influencing the youth. The man-made economic system which is built on lies and deception, extracting the last dollar from the poor.

The commercial enterprise which has been opposing God's work is about to be shaken.

Anything that the global leaders have put their trust in other than God is about to fall.

National economies that boast of godlessness are about to fall. The stock market will be unstable and nations that employ the various types of economic systems are about to see the truth of these systems play out.

As the shaking continues many who have benefited from the riches of Babylon, they will begin to hide away, gold, silver and cash to stay rich. Hence, we will begin to see a global dwindling of cash. There will be more bankruptcies and mergers. God is calling His people to come out of ungodly and unholy business covenants as there is a potential that when Babylon falls they will fall with it, and many will receive the same judgements.

Even the Church is now joining in covenant with the world to make money because many of them do not want to wait on God for His blessings. Many in the church have lost millions. Some have lost their entire pensions and life savings in Ponzi schemes. Many are blaming God.

BLESSINGS FROM GOD

When God is going to bless His people, He gives them business ideas, revelations, insight, dreams and visions, new inventions, and He provides them with governing authorities who will put the necessary framework in place to bring prosperity to His people.

Christians must now understand that we are no longer under the Babylonian systems. The world's ways of doing things are over. As Christians we are now in a Kingdom system. Revelation 18 clearly explains what will become of business, religion, and governments whose systems were not established by God.

There are many making covenants with the Babylonian system for getting power. Even politicians, Church leaders and businessmen are making unholy covenants to get and maintain power. Recognise that if they are not established by God or given power or authority by God, they might experience good things for a while but sorrow will follow and it will come with great cost!

When God establishes then Proverbs 10:22 will follow.

PURSUING GREATNESS

AND RICHES

Not many truly want to walk the right path. Even Jesus was tempted to compromise (Luke 4).

As the economy becomes worse globally, many will have to choose which path they will pursue for survival or to accumulate riches.

God deserves and requires worship; Satan wants worship, too. Whether or not we believe that in going through God we will be blessed and established. When God promotes and establishes us, He always puts us in a position to do good for humanity. If the enemy promotes you, you will be forced to compromise and carry out his will, which is always opposite to the Bible.

The globe is in a crisis - ISIS, the refugee crisis, high unemployment, hopelessness, political incorrectness - all these stem from the path individuals take in pursuit of power.

We should not seek to relentlessly pursue what the world deems to be 'greatness'. Greatness comes through humility. God considers those who are servant-leaders to be great. Worldly greatness is the opposite of spiritual greatness. The believer is not to aspire to worldly greatness. (Mark 10:42-45) Worldly greatness means that the greater the position, the greater the authority. In the Kingdom, greatness of the individual comes from the lowly places. Know that, positions in the world are determined by man, but, positions in the Kingdom are determined by God.
