On Sunday, August 3, Jamaicans living in the US, will have a taste of celebrations from 'Yard', when the second annual Jamaica Family Funday unfolds at the Thomas Jefferson High School field in Brooklyn, New York.

The day comes chock full of entertainment for the entire family with celebrated Jamaican comedian and MC Pretty Boy Floyd hosting the event.

Pretty Boy Floyd has been doing comedy for a very long time. He has travelled Jamaica extensively and has performed in the Caribbean and the USA. He has also worked with telecommunications giant LIME, as an ambassador on its many promotional projects and has also worked with Lascelles Distributors for its Magnum brand.

The Family Fun Day is the perfect family outing, as there will be attractions for everyone. For dads, there will be an exciting domino and ludo competition. If they feel daring enough, they can engage in the bun-eating contest, which is always a treat to watch. Women can indulge in hula hoop, while the entire family can enjoy a live performance from the Bible Truth Church of God International.

There will also be plenty of fun for the children with bounce about, face painting and other attractions. It will be like the good old days, as patrons compete in the Curry Chicken Back Nyam contest. Also look out for the one and only Skelesha, aka the Dancing Puppet.

"The name of the game is fun and more fun", said event promoter Mr. G. "Last year patrons had a grand time, and this year we are expecting much of the same. And in keeping with Jamaica's independence celebration, we will infuse as much of the home vibes as possible. I am urging everyone to come out and let's have some good, clean, Jamaican family fun," he urged.

Music for the event will be provided by DJ Roy from Road International, DJ Elly from Red Hot Radio, Boom Station, Sterling Silver, Liverty International Sound and Dj Kemmy.
