On your marks, get set, 'Let's Go'! As the participants in the seventh staging of the Race For Hope charity 5K run/walk crossed the finish line at Hope Gardens, St Andrew, on Sunday, they were not only greeted with refreshments from various sponsors and a warm-down yoga session with Sonita Abrahams (Afya Yoga), but were left feeling revived by an entertaining performance from featured act Voicemail.

Delivering songs like Shampoo, Nuh Behaviour, Step, and a Junkanoo medley, Voicemail had participants doing their own warm-up and warm-down sessions after the 5K run/walk.

Excellent vibe

"It was an excellent vibe, people stayed after the race and enjoyed the performance even though they were tired, so it was a great vibe overall," said Kevin of Voicemail.

The Race For Hope charity 5K run/walk is geared towards the refurbishing and maintenance of the Hope Gardens and Zoo.

Sponsors for the event included Jamaica Producers, Jamaica National, Power 106 FM, Hope Zoo, Digicel, Splashstart.com, DLT MarComms Limited, Sun Island, Nature Preservation Foundation, Afya, Hi Lyte, Heart Foundation, Carib Cement, China Harbour, among others.
