KFC's 'On the Verge' backed by Pepsi

KFC'S 'On the Verge' talent competition is back for another season with Pepsi.

Conceptualised four seasons ago, KFC's 'On the Verge' has grown tremendously. For another year, beverage giants Pepsi Cola Jamaica has signed on as the official beverage of competition.

The competition is open to singers, dancers and deejays, ages 14 - 24. Each participant will have 90 seconds to showcase their talents. Avoiding the buzzer advances them to the next round.

This year, the celebrity judges are prominent female dancehall artistes Cecile and Stacious, alongside popular stylist Dexter Pottinger and host, Zip Jock Bambino.

All participants will vie for the ultimate prize of performing on the Youth View Awards 2015 stage and a $250,000 cash prize.

Pepsi-Cola is proud and excited to be on board for yet another year, according to Cherine Forbes, marketing coordinator, Pepsi-Cola Jamaica.

"Pepsi is happy to be a part of this exquisite competition for another staging, as each year it exposes and builds young up-and-coming talent," said Forbes.

"As we scout the island each week for new talent, Pepsi-Cola will rehydrate the participants, judges and supporters that follow the On the Verge talent competition," Forbes continued.

Tomorrow, the competition will take over KFC Hope Road, for another in the scouting series, before heading to Ocho Rios, October 25, for the semi-finals.

Participants are reminded to take along their music on CDs, be dressed to perform and maintain a good attitude.
