Mingles brings new party format to Ocho Rios for Heroes Weekend

Fresh life will be injected in the Ocho Rios party scene this Heroes weekend with the addition of a new party format.
Christopher Allen, proprietor of Reggae Ally Bar and Grill in Ocho Rios, has joined forces with Garfield Gayle and Sunil Bennett to form the Real Entertainment Syndikate promotion team that will stage the inaugural Mingles - The Nite Life on Friday, October 17, at the spacious Taj Mahal Shopping Centre parking lot, situated along Main Street, Ocho Rios.
As is customary every Heroes weekend, Ocho Rios will be buzzing with a host of activities. Mingles will represent a concept that should be pleasing to just about everyone who wants to have a good time.
And despite the positive initial feedback, the promoters have decided to stick to their original plan to stage Mingles every three months, with the theme for this first instalment being 'Taken or Single, Come and Mingle'.
NIGHTLIFE AT ITS BEST
"This will be Ocho Rios nightlife at its best, as we plan to bring Ocho Rios back on to the map locally, in terms of entertainment," Allen explained.
"Because we are Ocho Rios promoters, it means the revenue will be staying in Ocho Rios. I always think that Ocho Rios is a beautiful place to keep parties and other forms of entertainment, so my partners and I want to tap into that," he added.
Mingles will open the gateway to a flood of parties and other activities in Ocho Rios for the Heroes weekend. The event will feature music by Renaissance Disco and the St Ann-based Hyperactive Sound Station, along with guest selectors. Among the sponsors already on board are Appleton, Red Bull, Reggae Ally Bar and Grill, and the Taj Mahal Shopping Centre.
