The annual Stone Love Anniversary returns to the Red Stripe Oval on Saturday, December 27. Dancehall's longest-serving sound system celebrates another milestone with fans and industry partners. Liquor giant Guinness has again joined forces with the immortal Stone Love, the brainchild of Winston 'Wee Pow' Powell, to support and celebrate the achievements of the renowned sound system.

The Red Stripe Oval will be transformed into a party scene as Stone Love and Guinness aim to provide patrons with an unforgettable party experience that is unique to the Stone Love brand. This is the third staging of the event at this venue.

contributions to Dancehall

The dancehall icon has made several contributions to the dancehall culture over the years. DJs of this group have been flag bearers for the popular dancehall culture, having played in many cities across the world. Stone Love has been instrumental in encouraging dancers, young artistes, and DJs to work on developing their craft through the addition of an awards segment of the party. The weekly Wednesday night party, Weddy Weddy, where artistes and dancers are often given the chance to display their talent, is owned by Stone love and staged at the sound's headquarters at Burlington avenue in St Andrew.

Stone Love and Guinness promise a celebration of one of dancehall's most valuable icons when the event comes around. With the Stone Love DJs at the turntables, patrons should expect a musical journey from the '70s to the present as selectors take them through the hills and valleys of musical genres.
