Timeless shaped for generations
Angels4U Home Care has launched an innovative product, Timeless: A Pre-Christmas Senior SoirÈe. An elegant affair for retired professionals and their families, it is organised and directed by Melody Cammock-Gayle.
The event was created because although Jamaica is known or its numerous social events, too often, mature adults seem left out, except for the occasional church event.
Timeless is a cocktail-inclusive cabaret show, featuring Karen Smith and hosted by comedian Dr Michael Abrahams, the intention being to appeal to every member of the family.
"Angels4U Home Care is interested in families recognising that our older folk would love to socialise and participate in fun and entertaining activities with the family all together. This means not just dropping off your loved ones at an event, but going out as a family unit. To me, it's very heart-warming to see three generations out on a family date - grandparents, adult children and their children together - engendering that sense of
family," Cammock-Gayle said.
something for everyone
Timeless, she further explained, has something for everyone to enjoy. This includes delectable food, fine wines courtesy of CPJ, great music, prizes, surprises and giveaways. "Yet, it will also provide retired professionals an excellent opportunity to socialise and meet new people. We need more events like this in Jamaica," Cammock-Gayle said.
This fun-filled afternoon happens on Saturday, November 29, at 4 p.m, at the Spanish Court Hotel, New Kingston. Part proceeds will aid The Re-Birth Project, an intervention programme for at-risk youth.
