Dancehall star Stacious is booked to be the first act to headline executive chef Donovan Williams' new and exciting Jamaica Night entertainment series, set to kick off on Saturday, November 29 at Aquavue Cuisine, at Mystic Ridge in Ocho Rios. The event will also feature Carl Edwards and his Live Wyya band.

Jamaica Night is set to be a monthly affair, every last Saturday, and Stacious is promising something special for fans on Saturday. "I'm really excited to be able to do this kind of performance. It's not something that I get to do very often, so I'm definitely jumping at the opportunity," Stacious told Entertainment Avenue. It's kind of up close and personal and fans will get to see a side of me that I can't really bring to a dancehall stage because of either time, or it not being appropriate for the situation. I'm really superexcited and fans can definitely expect a banger," she promised.

This kick-off show to Jamaica Night is like a meeting of friends as far as Stacious, Williams and Edwards are concerned, as all three go back a while. "Stacious a mi fren from long time, so a fren and fren link up," said Live Wyya leader, Edwards. "You will get to see the side of her that you can't get to see on a stage locally because of the time. So Live Wyya and Stacious a fire!"

And according to Williams, "It was just right when I spoke to her, she said, 'Hey, I'm gonna come help you to bring this thing together'."

"So patrons can expect a lot of niceness from Stacious, because she is an original, down-to-earth artiste, clean lyrics, straight-up reggae, or reggae mixed with dancehall," Williams said.

Special demand

"Folks have been calling for it and, since we sent it out, they have been like wow! They're just excited!"

Outside of the expected fireworks on stage from both Stacious and Live Wyya, patrons can enjoy an evening of fine food, wonderful atmosphere, and Liquid Nitro, which along with Moneymusk, are sponsors for the event.

"Our plan is to get Ocho Rios alive and well again on a month end," Williams shared.

Stacious will no doubt be using the event to prepare for what should be a successful 2015. She is currently promoting her new single, Party All Night, on the Party Central rhythm. The video is being planned and should be ready for release in the new year.

"There's also a new endorsement that I will be putting under my belt. You could probably call it an ad campaign, but I won't be releasing that information just yet," Stacious teased.

"But I'm looking forward to the new year, I have shows coming up in the United States, and tours are being planned right now for Europe."
