December 20, 2013 was the last time that Major Lazer invaded the Jamaican party scene. That event was sold out and gave patrons a mind-blowing experience that changed the entertainment scene in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. Patrons were quoted as having "...the time of my life" and "...best event I've ever experienced." Additionally, the inaugural Black Tie Awards 2014 gave this show the award for Event of the Year.

Major Lazer has decided to return to Jamaican shores on December 19, with what they say is going to be "the concert of the year". The event, presented by Red Stripe, is set to be bigger and better, boasting the best international DJ line-up ever to grace the shores of Jamaica. Returning is, of course, the Major Lazer trio of Diplo, Walshy Fire and Jillionaire, as well as megastar Skrillex, who recently formed the supergroup Jack U with fellow DJ, Diplo. Performing in Jamaica for the first time are DJ Snake from Paris, who has become internationally famous for the mega-hit Billboard-topping song, Turn Down For What, UK super group Rudimental and UK BBC Radio One DJ Toddla T, along with UK DJ and artiste Serocee. Bringing the local flavour are DJs Chromatic, Kamal Bankay and Mario C. All these plus a few more surprise guest artistes will be performing on this fully loaded show, slated to take place at the Caymanas Estate in St Catherine.

Special Lighting

The concert promises improved production, high-tech lighting shows for each DJ and a great bar experience provided by Red Stripe. Brand manager Erin Mitchell said, "Jamaica's coolest concert this Christmas will be presented by the world's coolest beer - Red Stripe. Patrons will have easy bar access from our four mega-bars, as well as roving rocketmen and beer-can distributors to ensure everyone has ice-cold refreshing beer for the entire event."

The event is inclusive of all drinks - beer, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages, and juices are provided by Pure Country. In addition, patrons will be able to grab a bite at the show, courtesy of Pizza Hut.

Today (December 1) marks the launch of full-priced pre-sold tickets available at Ribbiz, Cuddy'z in New Kingston, Base Kingston in Manor Park and Zimi ticket outlets. Online tickets are available at www.touchtix.net. The show is an 18-and-older event, and patrons must present an ID to enter the event. Showtime is 8 p.m.
