The biggest EDM event ever to be held in Jamaica is just around the corner. The return of Major Lazer is scheduled to happen on December 19 at Caymanas Estate. Some of the best EDM DJs are booked to headline the event, being presented in association with Red Stripe.

"If you thought the last staging was good, this year promises to be even greater, and they will be bringing to you the best of what EDM has to offer," says promoter Kamal Bankay.

Major Lazer is an electronic music project created by American DJ and producer Diplo. He has worked on major mixtape projects with many top-notch pop artistes like Britney Spears, Beyonce, No Doubt, Justin Bieber, Usher, and Snoop Lion.

Diplo and Skrillex are currently working together and enjoy performing with each other. This event will be their second time performing in Jamaica and patrons are more than excited to soak up their energy.

They promise that this performance will be different from the last.

"There will be lots of surprises and this will be the first show we really get to play a bunch of the new music, and we are excited," says Walshy Fire of Major Lazer.

He promises that all acts are ready to please the patrons and will have them jumping. "High energy. A lot of high energy." is what he is guaranteeing.

Fire also said they would be playing some crazy sets and will have surprise performances as they have been doing for the past two years. They will also be launching their new album this year and will be playing some of the newest tracks for the first time ever.

"If you were not at last year's staging of Major Lazer, you need to mark your calendars and grab your presold tickets while stocks last, as this event cannot be missed. All the surprises and high-energy performances can only be enjoyed at one place," encourages Bankay. "Tell your friends, but keep in mind IDs will be required at the gate. No ID, no Drink Right band! This means only persons who present IDs will be okayed to consume alcohol," he ended.

Tickets are being sold at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, Barbican Centre.
