Some artistes have tried for years to enter the tightly capped music industry, tried to stay current and ensure that they put out hit music to woo the hearts of fans. Such is the same for this artiste.

Louis Grandison, better known by his stage name, Dexta Daps, got his biggest break when he released 7 Eleven. He has been trying to make a name for himself since 2006, but it only took that one hit song for him to start creating a lot of stir with his hot, thought-provoking single. People started to gravitate to his melodic sound and sensual lyrics, which have caused his earlier releases to start circulating and to gain more airplay. Dexta Daps will be the featured artiste on Red Stripe Beer Wendzdays, set for April 1 at the Kaluga Kafe.

The Calabar High past student was heavily influenced by veteran artistes Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killer and Elephant Man, who also hail from his community in Seaview Gardens. He has released songs such as Pretty Nicky, Scared to Love, This a The Best, Morning Love, and Head Ina Di Bag.

Since his chart-topping hit, 7 Eleven, he has collaborated with dancehall sensation Tifa on the song Jealous Ova, which has been in heavy rotation. They have just released the music video for that single and it has been getting much attention.

You can catch both in performance live at tomorrow's Beer Wendzdays event.
