Ms Triniti to release fitness DVD
Reggae/pop artiste, Ms Triniti, is set to release her debut fitness DVD in coming weeks, and will also be introducing fans to her new music through the project.
The fitness DVD will be called Island Fit, and according to the singer, her decision to release the DVD came with her love affair with sports. Ms Triniti says she was very athletic during her younger days. The DVD will also feature music from Caribbean genres like reggae, dancehall and soca.
"I was a professional tennis player before music, so I was always involved in fitness. I was also a fitness trainer at one point in my life, so this is not a very strange territory for me," she told The Gleaner.
Ms Triniti also encouraged her peers in the music industry to support the project, saying that fitness is of paramount importance to performers.
"I realise that a performance requires a satisfactory level of fitness, because we are required to dance and wine and stuff like that. So I want to share this project with others, plus trust me when I say this DVD will be fun," she said.
The project will carry three DVDs, which according to Ms Triniti, will focus on different types of exercises. The Island Fit DVD will be distributed globally and will introduce music lovers and exercise enthusiasts to popular dance moves like: Give Dem A Run, Gully Creature, as well as exclusive choreography.
Ms Triniti also gave her production team a passing grade, as she says "the production quality is world class, we had good cameras working with and the persons in the cast were extremely professional. I am going to release an album as part of the project and fans will get a chance to hear my new music," she said.
The artiste was recently featured on a song by US-based reggae/hip hop artiste, Sean Kingston, called Touch Me Touch Me. She says the single will be released in Jamaica in coming days. However, the upcoming release of the Island Fit DVD, is her main focus right now.
"I believe in it (Island Fit DVD) and people have been responding in a positive way. Go out and get it once it's released, because it is a win-win situation. It's different from going to the gym, you can exercise in the comfort of your home and it's more fun," she said.
Ms Triniti has had two top 20 Billboard R&B/hip-hop singles, two top-five singles in Jamaica, as well as four studio albums for EMI/Japan.
The singer also toured with Sean Paul, opened for Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, T-Pain, Omarion and Beenie Man.
