Humorous netballer shoots for Pulse title
The Pulse Search For The Million Dollar Girl, which was launched in 2014, is down to the top-21 new faces selected at the live finals in August. They will compete for the top prize on the reality TV show for the event, featuring Pulse, Vogue and L'OrÈal supermodel Jeneil Williams.
It will run for 10 weeks and is the culmination of the 2014 search. This will be followed by the 2015 live show, which ends in August of this year.
At the end of the TV show, one lucky girl with the perfect face, body and spirit will be selected Pulse's Million Dollar Girl and will be awarded $1 million in cash and prizes (with no less than $300,000 in cash). Prizes include an air ticket to New York to visit model agencies, guaranteed modelling contracts, and weekends on Jamaica's north coast, among others.
The TV contestant in the spotlight this week is Assania Sandy Cardoza.
"Funny" and "trustworthy" is how the 20 year-old describes herself. The Kingstonian loves to play netball and hang with her friends on the weekend.
She enjoys oxtail and beans and loves to cook. Her ultimate ambition is to be a successful international model. Her favourite Pulse model is Jeneil Williams.
Assania is employed to the Kingston Public Hospital (KPH) and notes that she loves to sleep and hates coffee.
"I want people to know that I am a compassionate person," she said. Her best friends in the competition are Alicia Burke and Dana Lewis. Still, Assania says, "I am here to win."
