Dear Reader,

I write to tell you what makes a letter special. There are so many things you can do with a letter. You can frame it, laminate it, hang it on your bedroom wall, or you can put it in your photo album and have it to look back on in years to come. You can never get that with a phone call, a text or a tweet - it's just not the same.

A letter is even more special when it is pencilled for an awesome dad on Father's Day.

Dear Daddy,

You are my hero. You helped me up when I fell, cheered me up when I was sad and cuddled with me when I needed a hug. I also love when you cuddle with me when we watch TV.

I will never forget the time we went to Beaches for your wedding, because I got to spend time with you. Happy Father's Day to the best daddy in the world, you really are the best dad anyone could ever wish for.

Love

Ally 'AC' your big apple

(Agent Sasco's daughter) Lauren:

Dear Daddy,

You are my love. I love it when we watch family movies together.

Dear Dad,

Happy Father's Day to you, my hero and my friend. You are a loving and caring dad who is always there for me no matter what. Even though you are miles away, you know how to make your presence felt, the phone calls and conversations of encouraging words, I really do cherish. I can't forget those moments we spent together, you being my idol. Despite how young I was, occasionally you would fulfil my joy of being just like you, by calling me on stage to perform my own version of your songs. I love you dad, you're my number one hero.

Love,

Jahaziel

Dear Daddy,

It's your 'Wonder Twins', Danielle and Brit'ni. Today is your day and we just want to say thank you. Thank you for being our motivator, thank you for being our best friend, thank you for just simply being there when we need you. We remember the days when you used to pick us up from Ardenne. Our friends would race to us across the field shouting, "Your daddy coming", because they could hear the loud music coming up from as far as Andrews Hospital. Everyone got ready for the after-school game of dandy shandy with you until it was time for everyone to go home.

We remember the days when we would come into the studio and you would teach us how to mix and how to play music by using a needle, paper and a record. Because of this, we can't go out and behave like a normal patron. We remember on Saturdays and Sundays when we would pack up in the living room and watch cartoons all day (which we still do). We remember when you were teaching us how to drive; only you can do that because you have all the patience in the world when it comes to us. We still enjoy showing up at Fame studio during your shift and do our crazy dances, sing and burst shots while 'bad tune a play'.

We treasure the special moments when you come to visit us as late as 1 a.m., talking to us about how great we are at what we do and what we can achieve together. You would call at 3:00 in the morning on your way back to Kingston so that you can stay awake. We treasure that too, at least we know you are safe. Even just by driving pass and doing the special honk with your horn, it puts a smile on our faces.

Whenever the three of us are together, it's always laughing and happiness, especially when uncle is around. We aren't only going to say you're the best dad in the world like everyone else, but you are our best friend too.

With love,

Your daughters

Dear Daddy,

Sometimes I feel like you are a big kid because you love video games like I do, you love animals like I do and you love to dance and watch movies, even cartoons, just like I do. We both love cars. It is so much fun when we do these things together.

I wish I could spend more time with you, but I understand that your work keeps you very busy, because you travel the world entertaining others. That is why I enjoy any time that I get to hang out with you and I know that you love me.

My most memorable moment is you picking me up and taking me to spend time with my grandmother, my aunties and my cousins. I had a lot of fun that day and the food was really good. I enjoyed everything about that day because you were not working and it was all spending time together.

When I grow up I want to be as good as you are at whatever I do. The best feeling is to know that my daddy loves me even when he is far away.

I want to wish you a Happy Father's Day and I love you very much.

Love you daddy,

Matthew
