Festival Queen finalists sing favourites
The 13 finalists in the 2015 Miss Jamaica Festival Queen Competition will arrive at their official residence at the Christar Villas Hotel, 99A Hope Road, St Andrew, tomorrow as they commence their final walk to the crown. Their first test will be a face-off at Karaoke Night at the Christar Villas Vibes Sports Bar, starting at 8 p.m.
Members of the public will get an opportunity to see their favorite potential queen, as the ladies showcase their talent before the grand coronation. The finalists will also get the chance to interact with each other as they kick-start their week of activities leading up to the grand coronation on Emancipation Day, Saturday, August 1, at the Independence Village, Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.
Some of the other activities planned for the finalists are courtesy calls on the governor general, the leader of the opposition, the minister of youth and culture, and the mayor of Kingston. They will also attend several training sessions leading up to the grand coronation and enjoy spa treatment, courtesy of Jergens, as well as a make-up session, courtesy of The Face Place.
Tickets for the coronation are available at the Sangster's Book Stores (Mall Plaza, Sovereign, King Street and Portmore), Bill Express, JCDC offices, and online and www.jcdcjamaica.com. The guest artistes will be Duane Stephenson and Harold Davis & Friends.
