Approximately 90 students were treated to an exciting one-week summer camp in the performing arts last week.

The camp, held at the International University of The Caribbean, Old Hope Road Campus, was organised by Councillor for the Trafalgar Division Kari Douglas and South East St Andrew Member of Parliament Julian Robinson.

The aim of the camp was to foster growth in the arts and to allow celebrities and trained professionals to share their passion in music, karate, dance, drumming, and drama with the participants.

Among the celebrities who took part were recording artiste D'Angel, Ravers Clavers dancer Desha Davis, and Dancehall Queen Latesha.

The trained professionals at the camp included choreographer Onaje Bell, Joel Ellis for karate, Kamla Forbes for Latin and salsa dance, and Orane Meikle for drumming and dub poetry.
