Lots of fun at Funfest Ocho Rios
The Heroes weekend ended on quite a positive note in Ocho Rios on Monday with families turning out in their numbers, flocking the Turtle River Park to enjoy themselves at the Tastee / Tropicana Tropics Fun Fest.
A wide range of activities, especially for the kids, ensured that patrons were not left short of something to do.
There was the trampoline, bounce-about, rock climbing, train rides, mechanical bull, a games arcade and lots of other stuff for the children. The food village was naturally a hit with everyone, as the majority of the sponsors for the event were food and or drink providers, among them; Tastee, Tropicana, Oreo, Cadbury, St Mary Chips, Desnoes and Geddes and Pepsi.
?We are happy with the success of this wholesome family event which celebrates all the elements that are truly important and integral to the brand,? Mitchell Watson, marketing manager for Pepsi, told The Gleaner. ?Our consumers seemed to have had a good time and enjoyed our many offerings. We look forward to the next staging.?
Lots of fun also came later from the live performances on stage which included a really great dance contest for the children, backed up by their parents. Andre Livingston?s performance of Unchained Melody, went over well, before gospel artiste Rondell Positive delivered a refreshingly beautiful set.
