Billboard charting Grammy Award-winning EDM artiste Matthew Koma will perform for the first time in Jamaica on December 19 at Pier 1 in Montego Bay. Koma is set to perform at the annual Electric Butterfly Music Festival (EBMF), and according to the promoters, the act was quite challenging to book for the show, however, if Jamaica is going to reclaim EDM, only the best is good enough.

"This year, we are definitely going bigger and better in every sense of the word. Matthew Koma has been all over the Billboard charts and won himself a Grammy. Adding to that, he has performed at some of the biggest events in EDM worldwide, so we believe he will represent well, and our patrons will be satisfied," member of the EBMF promotions team Mike Marsh told The Gleaner.

The festival is known to pull thousands of patrons to the tourist town due to its unique musical package, which usually includes dancehall, EDM, hip-hop, soca, and electronic reggae.

The Electric Butterfly Music Festival, now in its third staging, is looking to keep loyalists entertained by bringing in Koma, who has sold millions of records in the United States during his illustrious career, dabbling with pop and EDM genres.

Koma is also known for his work on projects like Clarity, Find You, Spectrum by Zedd, Keep Love Alive by Afrojack, and Wasted with TIESTO.

For this staging of the EBMF, the line-up will also include Florida-based Jamaican singer Toian, DJ Kamal Bankay, ZJ Liquid, Crazy Neil, ZJ Nova, Chromatic, DJ Nicco, ZJ Chrome, DJ Private Ryan from Trinidad, DJ Absolute, DJ Kentucky, DJ Rusti, DJ Face from London, Andre Airplane from New York, Bloodline, DJ Lank, and media personality Yanique 'Curvy Diva' Barrett, who will be hosting.
