It has been a while since veteran reggae singers Sanchez and Half Pint performed on a major concert locally. However, both artistes are ready to sing the hits for their diehard fans on Saturday, December 19.

Billed as The Greatest Lovers Rock Night of the Year, both Sanchez and Half Pint will set the stage on fire at the Famous Nightclub in Portmore. The event is being promoted by music producer and promoter Richard 'Richie D' Martin.

Martin, who has carved out an impressive track record producing hits for a number of dancehall's biggest names, including Lady Saw, Bounty Killer, Tony Curtis, Hawkeye and Delly Ranx, among others, explained his reason for promoting the upcoming concert.

"I'm a fan of both artistes and I've always wanted to work with them. I think I am among many who love and respect the works of both these legends of reggae music," said Martin.

The world-renowned Stone Love Movement selector Geefus will provide musical memories from the 1980s to the 1990s prior to showtime.

Martin, who is based between Jamaica and Florida, has successfully promoted events, including the Chill party series in Jamaica and Miami, as well events at the Regency Bar & Lounge and Fiction Nightclub.

"This concert is one very personal to me. It is my first concert here in Jamaica. It will be a very up close and personal show, which I've always thought a headliner like Sanchez is perfect for. Ladies, especially, will enjoy the intimate setting." Martin confided.

Presold tickets cost $1500, while VIP is $3000. Ticket outlets include Usain Bolt's Tracks and Records in Marketplace, Fromage at Hillcrest Avenue, York Pharmacy in Half-Way Tree and Genus Pharmacy in Portmore.
