Chaka Khan to sing at Natalie Cole's funeral today

Natalie Cole's funeral will take place today. The 65-year-old singer who is the daughter of Nat King Cole and Maria Cole tragically passed away from heart failure over the festive season at a Los Angeles hospital, and her memorial service will be held at the West Angeles Church of God in Christ.

Chaka Khan is expected to sing at the funeral before Natalie is buried next to her parents, sister and brother at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale.

In a statement, Natalie's family previously explained the reasons for her passing, saying she suffered from idiopathic pulmonary arterial hypertension after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2009.

This, in turn, led to the heart failure that caused Natalie's death.

Natalie had to have the kidney transplant after battling hepatitis and drug problems earlier in her life.

Titanic guitar price

Leonardo DiCaprio paid US$100,000 for one of Bono's guitars.

The Revenant actor bid for the instrument during the live auction at Sean Penn's annual J/P Haitian Relief gala in Beverly Hills over the weekend, where he splashed out the huge amount.

Leonardo also donated a prize to the cause, with a lunch with him and Sean, along with a five-night stay at his Palm Springs estate, going for a bid of US$200,000.

E! News reports that the ukulele used by Sean's ex-wife, Madonna, on her Rebel Heart world tour sold for US$300,000, while drum lessons by Metallica's Lars Ulrich raised US$100,000.

The night raised US$7 million for the charity.

Leonardo is known for his philanthropy and recently announced he is donating US$15 million to charity.

Idris Elba injured

Idris Elba had to pull out of the Golden Globe Awards due to injury.

The British actor who is nominated for Best Actor in a TV Movie or Limited Series for his role in Luther and for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for Beasts of No Nation was advised against flying to Los Angeles after injuring his back.

Idris' representative told Entertainment Tonight: "On doctor's orders [he], cannot get on a plane to attend the Golden Globes."

While Idris, 43, wasn't at the awards yesterday, Harrison Ford was a late addition to the line-up of presenters.

Just hours before the ceremony, a message on the Golden Globes' official Instagram read: "BREAKING! EXCLUSIVE! Harrison Ford will be presenting at tonight's #GoldenGlobes (sic)."

Villainess part for Blanchett

Cate Blanchett will play a villain in Thor: Ragnarok.

The 46-year-old actress has joined the cast of the third installment of the Marvel movie franchise, and while her exact role has not been confirmed, Cate's co-star, Mark Ruffalo, revealed she will be playing a baddie in the film.

Mark, 48, told Entertainment Tonight: "I saw her at the Governors' banquet and heard that maybe she was circling. They were talking to her about the part, so I ran up to her and I was like, 'Please, please, please make this work!' She's just one of the best, and to have her play a baddie is going to be really exciting."

Speaking to chat-show host Jimmy Kimmel recently, Cate joked she was actually taking over the role of Thor from fellow Australian Chris Hemsworth.

She quipped: "Chris Hemsworth is busy, so I've been working out."
