CFW opens with glitzy gala
Pulse Investments officially opened the activities of Caribbean Fashion Week 2016 at the Spanish Court Hotel with a black tie gala affair.
Kingsley Cooper opened the night with a few words, surely saving all the excitement to be seen for the remaining events. Young Cuban-Jamaican singer Ari Lopez serenaded the crowd with downplayed covers of current hit songs. Later on, DJ Sanjay had partygoers electric-sliding across the dance floor, while rum and wine-loosened tongues filled the night with laughter and conversation.
In the name of all that is fashion, Patrick Clarke of Omgoshy Designs nabbed most of the attention through his model, Georgiana Williams, who sported an incomparable pink patterned dress.
A flurry of hemlines and a blur of bow ties, Caribbean Fashion Week is shaping up to be an entertaining spectacle.
Here are some of the highlights.
