Gospel festival AIM First Fest is set to make a return after a two-year hiatus, having launched in 2014.

Organisers of the festival recently revealed the line-up for the event, which will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre in Kingston.

Gospel's top performers will ring in the new year with what is said to be 'a celebration of gospel's best'.

Presented by Action Entertainment in association with AIM Financial Corporation, the First Fest bill includes a mix of worshippers and radical ministers from local and international soil.

Musical Acts

Grammy-nominated Dietrich Haddon returns to Jamaica to headline the festival after his summer performance was aborted due to impending storm threats to the island.

Home-grown favourites Kevin Downswell, DJ Nicholas, Prodigal Son, George Nooks, Jabez, Joan Flemmings, Sister Patt, Keesa Peart, the Reverend Glen Graham and Carey Sayles are all set to deliver celebrated performances.

"I am delighted for all the sponsors we have on board so far, and even more so for the confidence of our title sponsor for their faith in our event. After two years of planning, we had to make sure that the festival returned with a powerful concept, message and ministry," explained executive producer and CEO, Markland 'Action' Edwards.

Patrons can expect powerful ministry, deliverance, fun, food, wholesome entertainment, free Wi-Fi, games and giveaways all day. Gates will open at 10 a.m., and tickets can be purchased from any Bill Express location islandwide.
