#HASHTAG opens at Fairfield Theatre

With practically everyone signing up on social media, be it Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, LinkIn or Instagram, from the suckling baby to the bone crackling grandparents, we seem to just cannot get enough it.

RAW Management, producer of the award winning play The Black That I Am has presented the hilarious comedy revue #HASHTAG at the Fairfield Theatre, Montego Bay, St James. #HASHTAG is an in-your-face comedy revue that takes audiences on a journey highlighting the social media phenomenon that will poke fun and snap at you.

#HASHTAG opened on December 27 and featured Kyesha Randall (Miss

Festival Queen 2016), David Clarke, Sadika Vassell and Gregory Smith, with cameo performances from Weston Haughton, Joy Clark (head of sales, Digicel Western) and award-winning journalist Janet Silvera.

The mission of RAW Management is to enhance theatrical performances in western Jamaica by introducing new styles of theatre, while maintaining traditional forms. RAW Management's aim is not only to promote theatre to the communities of the west, but to present theatrical performances that will inspire, empower, entertain and contribute to the rich cultural landscape of Jamaica.

#HASHTAG is written by Tabia Nelson and Nadean Rawlins and directed by Nadean Rawlins. It has a limited run on Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m.
