Chronixx to tour North America
The Chronology tour starts March 2nd, 2017, headlined by Chronixx with Zincfence Redemption band. It will visit 40 cities across the United States and Canada, featuring performances by Jah9, Jesse Royal, Kelissa, Mr Williamz and Exco Levi.
Upon the release of Chronixx's Dread and Terrible project his rise accelerated. He gave a performance of Here Comes Trouble on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in July 2014. It was layered by Chronixx covering Jesse Royal's Modern Day Judas and Jah9's Reverence, which all were recorded over 2013's Rootsman Riddim.
Chronology, also the name of Chronixx's solo debut later this year is a follow-up to his mixtape Roots & Chalice, produced by Federation Sound. Max Glazer of Federation will join Chronixx and friends on tour through April.
Majesty, the first single and video from Chronixx's debut album, was officially released in December. The song first appeared Roots & Chalice.
Baugh to host speech-writing workshop
Registration is now open for a speech-writing workshop led by acclaimed orator, poet and scholar Professor Edward Baugh.
The participants will meet for three hours on three consecutive Saturdays: February 25, March 4, and March 11. It will be useful to professional speechwriters such as public relations and communications specialists, managers, media professionals and educators, as well as non-professionals interested in improving their speech-writing skills.
While serving as the Public Orator for UWI, Mona, Professor Baugh delighted and entertained audiences at the annual graduation ceremonies with his presentation of citations for honorary graduates. His collection Chancellor, I Present (2000), documents more than a decade of these memorable speeches. He will share with workshop participants the knowledge, skills and techniques in the art of speech writing that he has accumulated over his many years as a public speaker and speech writer.

Twelve Tribes celebrate Bob, Dennis
On Saturday the Selassie Brothers of the 12 Tribes of Israel presents Reggae Legends at TTI HQ, 81 83 Hope Road, St Andrew.
The annual dance honours the music of two of Jamaica's greatest in the month of their birth, which Twelve Tribes celebrates as the month of Joseph, the 11th of Jacob's sons.
A special feature of the night will be the participation of Mala Brown, daughter of Dennis, as well as Jamaican football legend, Allan 'Skill' Cole. and Asher Boo, close friends and associates of Bob and Dennis. They will be sharing their favourite songs from the two artistes' extensive catalogues. Guest selector, Sun City DJ Yumi from Japan, will also be on hand.
Videos, photos and art displays will form part of the entertainment mix, along with delectable dishes and other refreshments.
Steppin' Razor Experience Feb 18
The newly opened Peter Tosh Museum will be hosting The Steppin' Razor Experience at the Peter Tosh Square, Pulse Centre, Trafalgar Road, New Kingston,. on February 18, featuring live and recorded music. A number of reggae performers will headline the live performances, including Andrew Tosh and Garnett Silk Jnr,
Guests will also be able to go on special tours during 'A Might at the Museum' at discounted rates. The museum honours the life and legacy of Peter Tosh, Jamaica's global music legend and founding member (with Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer) of the critically acclaimed reggae group, the Wailers. Prime Minister Andrew Holness was guest speaker at the official dedication ceremony on Tosh's birthday, October 19, 2016.
The Steppin' Razor Experience comes at a time when Kingston and its cultural sites are being celebrated. A self-taught guitar and keyboard player Tosh left The Wailers in 1973 to pursue his solo career and earned huge success with Legalize It and several other solo releases.
