Party lovers can brace themselves for the inaugural staging of Streetz, a true dancehall party.

The event set for Saturday at the Ocean Village Centre, Main Street, in Ocho Rios, is the first party of its kind in the resort town, and will feature performances from Yeng Yeng, Ding Dong with Ravers Clavers.

"Streetz will be like no other event you have ever experienced.

The feedback we have received has been tremendous and it just goes to show that partygoers are looking forward to a different form of party rather than the mundane events that have been popping up here and there.

We wanted to bring that authentic street dance vibe to Ocho Rios as we felt it is an important part of Jamaica's culture. For our first staging, it will be held outdoors, fitted with column wall speakers and rustic zinc fencing as part of the overall decor," explained organiser Chad Williams.

Musical selections will flow from the likes of Bass Odyssey, Illusion Sound from Ocho Rios and Coppershot. Ladies enter free before 1 a.m. and pay $500 after; men $500 with the Streetz flyer and pay $1000 without.

Partners for the event include Guinness, Zip 103 FM, Sign Xpress, SMA Talent, Lion Pride, Loop Jamaica, Avatar Hair Rinse, Elite Kreations, Cyclox Security and Pure National Ice.
