The Best Care Foundation will be staging its annual Gala dinner and Cabaret tomorrow at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

Partnering with Jamaica National for this year’s event, organisers are promising an exciting show and are hoping to get a huge turnout. Everett Lewis, director of the Foundation told The Gleaner, that the event, although a charity one will be taken as seriously as any other show.

“A lot of time and effort went into organising this event and our main goal was to make sure that everyone enjoys the show,” he said. “It won’t be a ‘slap-dash’ thing. People are spending their money to be thoroughly entertained and we aim to deliver.”

Leroy Sibbles, Elton Earlington, Bare Essentials and special guest Ashlie White-Barrett, Miss Jamaica World will be providing entertainment on the night. In addition, there will be a special auction on location. Guests will be able to extend an additional hand to the home by purchasing items on display. These items will include paintings, ceramics and other household items.

With tickets costing $10,000 dollars, the foundation is hoping to raise approximately $1 million from the event. Lewis says the money will be used for the upkeep of the home and to ensure that adequate care is extended to the children under the foundation’s care.

Ashlie White-Barrett, says, “I am expecting a fantastic turnout for the show, primarily because it’s for supporting a great cause,” she said. “One thing I can say about our Jamaican people is that we always come out to support worthy causes and this one is definitely worth it. I’m looking for a fantastic show, great performances and I’m definitely looking forward to a special performance from the children of the Best Care Foundation. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. This charity is about investing in our future and the betterment of our society, we may never know what these children are capable of doing.”

Tickets are available at the Best Care Foundation on Trevennion Road. The event is expected to start at 7 p.m.
