Rene Pape as Sarastro in Mozart’s ‘Die Zauberflote’.

The legendary James Levine conducts one of the most dazzling productions in the Metropolitan Opera repertoire - Mozart's Die Zauberflote - starring South-African soprano Golda Schulz (Pamina), lyric tenor Charles Castronovo (Prince Tamino) and baritone Markus Werba - a veteran performer of Papageno.

Die Zauberflote captures the magical pursuit of love, where Prince Tamino is charged by the Queen of the Night (Kathryn Lewek) to rescue her daughter, Pamina, who he fell in love with, from the sinister Sarastro, played by renowned bass singer Rene Papa.

Equipped with a magic flute, bells and three spirits, Tamino and Papageno undergo magical ordeals to rescue Pamina in the name of love. Julie Taymor's awesome production will encore this Sunday, 11: 30 a.m. at Palace Cineplex.
