Sean Kingston has returned from the US to his roots. The international music star recently purchased a home in Jamaica and has also brought with him a number of traditions. Earlier this year, the singer/rapper/record producer introduced his practise of hosting a public Thanksgiving Dinner for the less fortunate to Downtown Kingston. About a month later, the Beautiful Girls singer will host his annual Yuletide celebration, Christmas with The Kingston's in Kingston.

It is an invitation-only event.

"Christmas with The Kingston's for the first time in Kingston - it’s our eighth annual year. My family and I have been spending a lot of time in Jamaica this year and we feel like it is truly our home and we wanted to celebrate the holidays here," Sean Kingston said. "We tyad ah LA now fi do the party dem, so Jamaica! Christmas with the Kingston's last year was mad. French Montana, Selena Gomez, everybody pull up! It was crazy! Now we waan switch it up. First official party will be down in Jamaica on Christmas. So, get ready," he said in a recent interview with The STAR.

“It’s our appreciation for our friends and family and all who work with us throughout the year to make things happen - our team and close friends," Janice 'Mama Kingston' Turner added. Christmas With The Kingston's will take place at 'The Mansion'. The event begins with the opening of the red carpet at 7 p.m., dining is at 8 p.m. and an open-bar after-party starts at 10 p.m.

The Kingston's open-armed, philanthropic behaviour has been consistent for the better part of a decade. In November, the Kingston's took over King Street, Downtown Kingston, with a buffet-style Thanksgiving Dinner, the 11th year overall. After one day of preparation and another day of cooking, Mama Kingston set up on King Street with a buffet spread featuring curry chicken, jerk chicken, barbecue chicken, oxtail, rice and peas, white rice and curry veggies, along with snack biscuits and soft drinks.

"We did Florida for four years, California for six years and now, for the first time, Jamaica," Mama Kingston said. Sean managed and monitored the proceeding via FaceTime, as he wrapped up dates for his Made In Jamaica winter tour in Canada. Once again, the matriarch leads the charge with the plans for Christmas.
