Timothy Bloom, who is known for his Grammy winning productions for Chris Brown's Fame and Neyo Because of You, arrived in the island over the weekend to work on projects with international reggae duo Orisha Sound.

Speaking with The Gleaner, over the weekend, Shel K said they will be working together for two weeks at the Tuff Gong and Dehva Studios in Kingston.

"Work got started yesterday, and "We have already recorded a song called, Skywalk, with him and will be doing other tracks which will include a collaboration with him," Orisha said.

Skywalk is also the name of Orisha Sound's upcoming album.

"It will have influences of reggae, dancehall and Caribbean dance music, and Timothy Bloom has expressed his excitement about his first visit to the Caribbean, which is such a potent musical place and a birthplace of reggae music," Orisha explained.

According to Shel K, it didn't take much convincing for the American producer to agree to travel to Jamaica to work with the duo.

"Orisha is a musician who has worked with the likes of Kanye West and Stevie Wonder in the past. She met a lot of talented industry players along the way and Timothy was one of them. She made the link with him and he was happy to get the work going," he said.

In addition to the Grammy Awards accolades, Bloom has written for Smoky Robinson (My World and Falling in Love) and was signed as an artiste to Interscope via joint venture with Polow Da Don and Timbaland. His release, Stand in the way of my Love, debuted on the iTunes R&B chart and Billboard Top 100 R&B albums chart.

The Norwegian born Jamaican based singer, Orisha Sound, teamed up with producer/musician Shel K Williams last year to form a duo.

"It has been a very rewarding experience, as we not only gained new fans but got the chance to spread the genre to different sections of Europe. Last year, we spent only five weeks in Jamaica, as we toured eight countries in the continent consistently," Shel K said.

Orisha Sound has gained popularity with their hit single, Beautiful Sin, followed by World War Three, featuring Beenie Man.
