Stephen Marley's Fruit of Life Productions has announced its renewed partnership with OneRise Entertainment to produce the second annual Kaya Fest.

The two-day festival will be making its first appearance in southern California at NOS Events Centre from April 28-29. In a release sent to media, the son of the late reggae legend Bob Marley revealed that the renewed partnership allows his team the opportunity to continue a work that honours his father's legacy.

"There is an incredible movement happening for a richer understanding of kaya, not just for recreation, but for medical, industrial and, we believe, spiritual benefits," he said. "With the support of OneRise Entertainment, we can continue to educate, celebrate and honour my father, who was a lifelong leader in the movement."

In addition, this year's festival is proud to announce artistes such as Cypress Hill, Action Bronson, Chronixx, Common Kings, Inner Circle, Third World and Toots & the Maytals, to name a few. More exciting artiste announcements are forthcoming.

This year, Kaya Fest has big plans to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Bob Marley's album Kaya, with a highly anticipated performance from the Marley brothers compromised of Stephen, Ziggy, Damian, Julian and Ky-Mani, who will share the stage for the first time in southern California in more than a decade.

Kaya Fest was originally conceived by Stephen Marley to provide an overall experience through the power of music and shine light on a way of life and overall message shared by his father. Stephen Marley and David F. Alfonso co-founded the inaugural Kaya Fest held in Miami, Florida, in April 2017.
