Stacy ... "I absolutely love Jamaica!"

Stacy (last name withheld) from Florida in the United States is in Jamaica to celebrate her 50th birthday and this one's extra special.

Although not her first trip to the island, it's her first time at Reggae Sumfest and her expectations are high for the performance of the Reggae sensation, Koffee.

"She may be young but she's absolutely amazing and I am looking forward to what she will do on stage," said Stacy, shortly after arriving at the Catherine Hall venue for the world's greatest Reggae festival.

Stacy's daughters are also visiting.

Describing Jamaica's music as intoxicating, the Florida native said she had to make it to Sumfest this year.

"I absolutely love Jamaica," she said.

She also said she was very impressed by the Jamaican culture.

"I love everything about Jamaican music: the vibe, the energy, everything," she said.

Sumfest was billed to start at 8:30 p.m. but was off to a late start as patrons trickled into the venue at the slated starting time.

The crowd, however, soon started to swell.
