Cheesy pickup lines that work

Now ladies, we have all been down this road before - we're going about our merry way when out of nowhere he appears. Taken by surprise, pleasant or otherwise, we're stopped dead in our tracks by a smart remark to get our attention.
It seems since the beginning of time, men have attempted to 'break the ice' with a 'clever' opening line, often interpreted as corny, not only because of its carbon-copy concept, but also its unimaginative delivery.
However, there is a silver lining in this 'connection' cloud, became some of these lines actually work.
The Flair Magazine gathered testimonials from two men who have first-hand experience at using cheesy pickup lines that have actually worked.
Thirty-five-year-old Peter Lewishas told Flair that these lines do work for him and was the basis for a previous relationship, which ended mutually sans the drama. "I used the line, 'Excuse me, did it hurt?' Seeing her puzzled expression I go in with the closer, 'when you fell from heaven?' Surprisingly she saw the humour in it and laughed, which broke the ice, led to a conversation and later a relationship," Lewis noted.
Despite the demise of the relationship, he is still of the belief that these lines are really all about the delivery. So, if executed correctly, instead of coming off cheap, it can be replaced with charm and sparks. Once the ice is broken, anything is possible.
It was also a success for 26-year-old Sean McIntosh, who attempted to make small talk with a girl he had just met and liked, not knowing that his opener could be perceived as a pickup line. "The new girl at work caught my eye. As cliché as it sounds, I stopped her in the hallway and asked her 'Do I know you?' As she was returning the curious, intrigued stare, I said that she looked really familiar, like we have met before. She replied 'no' with a smile, declaring that if she did she would have remembered me,"
For weeks, whenever he saw her in the hallway he persisted. "I will soon tell you where I know you from. She would always smile. Once I eventually made the connection, the next time I saw her, I said 'I remember why you look familiar. I saw you in a commercial,' After getting over the fact that she really did not know me, she was, however, pleasantly surprised that I had discovered her second talent. I have been a fan and boyfriend since."
So we have heard from the men, but do these famous pick up lines really work on the fairer sex?
