Oraine in Ralph Lauren campaign again

Pulse supermodel Oraine Barrett is once again the featured model for Ralph Lauren. Barrett will be one of the stars of the new Polo campaign and was featured in the media presentation for Lauren's new collection to be shown in New York in September.

Barrett has been busy, both for Lauren, for whom he shot an advertising feature two weeks ago, for the brand's new sports line, as well as for Under Armour, shot during the same period.

Both Ralph Lauren and Under Armour are obviously very happy clients, as Oraine has been doing repeat campaigns for both brands. In Ralph Lauren's case, he has done multiple campaigns over the past three to four years, and in the case of Under Armour, he has done a number of repeats in a relationship that only started this year.

A former winner of Pulse's Caribbean Model Search, Oraine is the inspiration for a new generation of male models, inside and outside the Caribbean. As Pulse and the Caribbean's leading male modelling star, Barrett continues to be the front man for a number of Ralph Lauren's Polo campaigns. This latest campaign is part of a slew of new work for the brand that he has added to his iconic Polo Olympics campaign. Charged with styling the official US team, Ralph Lauren summoned the top Jamaican model to star in his 'Olympic Americana' campaign.

Since bursting on the scene in 2004, Barrett has become a global supermodel, climbed steadily up the fashion rung with early campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Pepe Jeans, and Liz Claiborne until he caught the attention of fashion directors at Ralph Lauren. He was primed and then selected as the worldwide face of Polo, making him the second Caribbean native since Tyson Beckford to hold such honours. The Pulse model has also donned Lauren's ultraexclusive Purple Label brand.

Oraine has enjoyed a 10-year career that shows no sign of slowing. His recent work for a variety of clients have given new lustre to a career that includes campaigns for footwear giants Timberland and eyewear nouveau Pure Metal; exclusive editorials for the Japanese edition of Vogue, with acclaimed photographer Steven Klein, as well as the cover of Brazil's DOM Magazine. These high notes detail Barrett's unwavering stature, longevity and versatility in an ever-changing industry.

His career highlights include many significant campaigns, including Phat Premium, Pepe Jeans, John Bartlett as well as Italian Vogue, Arena Homme and ID magazine. He also copped a special editorial feature in Interview magazine.
