A great date with Jason

It has been two weeks since Andrew and I went to the Blue Mountains. I hadn't seen him since he took me home to Montego Bay, but we talked at least twice each day. I immensely enjoy talking to him, and we could always find something to talk about. There was no doubt about it - I liked him. But I was going to be very cautious. We hadn't mentioned the kiss since I got home, but it had crossed my mind many times. I hadn't been kissed in forever, unless I took into account the kisses I got from my children and those were nothing of this calibre. He would be coming to Montego Bay at the end of the month and we would be hanging out then.

Jason - 31 years - No kids - Self-employed

I met Jason three months ago. He was doing business in my office one afternoon and I offered him my assistance and we started talking. I noticed his accent and asked him where he was from. He is originally from Belize, but had been living in Jamaica for two years. Two days later, he returned to my office and requested my assistance. It was while I was helping him that he told me that he would be leaving in three days for Belize and wouldn't be back for a month. I told him that I hope one day to visit the Altun Ha in Belize, and he asked me for my email address. He was planning to visit there among other places, and would send me some pictures when he did. I didn't hesitate one bit. But to be honest, I never thought he would. I just figured he was being courteous, but I still gave it to him.

I was very surprised when he actually emailed me. The first email was just to say he had arrived safely and hoped all was well with me and my family. We kind of started a pattern from then. We would email each other at least twice a week. I was guaranteed to get an email from him at least once a week with pictures of some fantastic place in Belize. He left Belize and went to the USA on business, but our emails continued.

One day, I was coming back from lunch when I heard someone call my name. I turned to see Jason's car pulling into the parking lot. He had emailed the night before, but he hadn't mentioned that he was returning to Jamaica that day. I laughed when I saw him and he got out and gave me a hug. I asked him why he hadn't mentioned that he was returning today and he asked me if I didn't like surprises. He went back to his car and got a bag off the back seat - he had brought me a souvenir from every spot he had visited in Belize, and some from the US. I was truly blown away by his thoughtfulness. The pictures he had sent had been enough, along with the play-by-play account of his experience. I wasn't expecting anything else. I thanked him for his thoughtfulness and agreed to have dinner with him Friday night as a thank you.

He had decided on Houseboat Grill, and I liked his choice. I had never been, but I had heard that it had the most magical view at night. When I got there he was already waiting for me outside. Just as we headed in, my phone rang - it was Andrew. I told him I would call him back later.

I was truly impressed with Houseboat Grill. I loved the fact that we were having dinner on the water and the stars glistening on the water made the place so magical. He talked about his trip while we ate and I told him about the shenanigans my kids had been up to lately. He already knew I had four kids; that is something I never hide. I enjoyed my evening, and I could see myself spending more time with him.

Call from andrew

I was almost home when Andrew called and we talked for a while. I wasn't going to lie so I told him I had actually been on a date. We hadn't made any commitments to each other so I had no reason to hide. He said he never expected that I would stop dating, but it still threw him off guard.

There is no mistaking that Andrew and I shared chemistry. I still couldn't get his kiss out of my mind and I told him as much. After we hung up, I called Jason to let him know I was home and we talked for a few minutes. I liked them both and oddly enough, it was for the same reasons.

How did I get from meeting so many frogs to having two amazing men interested in me? I should say three because David hadn't given up on me either, but he respected my reasons and said he would wait until I was comfortable enough to hang out again. I was looking forward to hanging out with Andrew and Jason again, but I was still going to be cautious. These dates weren't all about me, I had four little people that would be affected by the choices I made and I wasn't going to forget that.
